Lupo x Marieta Żukowska, Beetles.shop Good luck

Lupo Restaurant has partnered with actress Marieta Żukowska.
The collaborative project has resulted in two signature dishes – fresh pasta and a dessert – which will be available at the restaurant for a limited time, from March 19 to 29.

The acquaintance between Marieta Żukowska and Basia Kłosińska, owner of Lupo, began very naturally – with conversations about Italy, Italian culture, and cuisine. Frequent meetings at the restaurant eventually turned into longer discussions, which two years ago continued in the "Równowaga" (Balance) podcast for Vogue Polska. That's when the idea for a joint venture emerged.

The project was inspired by the unique jewelry collection "In bocca al lupo," created by Marieta Żukowska for Beetles.shop, which she co-creates with her sister Katarzyna Żukowska. This Italian saying means "good luck" or "break a leg," literally translating to "in the mouth of the wolf." The wolf motif – lupo – is also the name of the restaurant, so the idea of translating the aesthetics of jewelry into culinary language came very naturally.

  • Motifs from the collection and the play on words themselves became our starting point for considering how to translate the idea of jewelry into the language of cuisine. Fresh pasta turned out to be a natural choice - its plasticity allows for the creation of almost jewelry-like forms - says Basia Kłosińska.

The main dish was inspired by traditional Sardinian pasta lorighittas, hand-twisted from two thin strips of dough into a bracelet-like shape. In the version prepared at Lupo, it is served with seasonal white asparagus, burnt butter, tapioca pearls resembling small pearls, and fresh black truffle. The pasta is complemented by the dessert Sporcamuss con crema pasticcera alla vaniglia - a classic pastry from Puglia, whose name means "dirty mouth." This crispy, layered pastry filled with velvety vanilla cream and dusted with powdered sugar is a simple but incredibly satisfying dessert.

The premiere of the dishes was symbolically planned around International Day of Happiness (March 20) - in reference to the Italian saying "in bocca al lupo". The limited Lupo x Marieta Żukowska dishes will be available from March 19 to 29.
